Shadow Of The Day

Sometimes, delusions aren't so simple. Sometimes, Goodbye's the only way.
And, the sun will set for you. The sun will set for you.
And, the shadow of the day, will embrace the world in grey.
And, the sun will set for you...

Hello, Nerds and Nerdettes,

And...possibly some other type people. Also, since, I'm a girl, that'd make me a 'Nerdette', but it doesn't have the same ring to it.
Anyway, welcome to my...third blog of awesome-ness! (for my darling pally, Fia.) And, because, I got bored. >.> Shhh...don't tell her.
Since, I have promised nerdiness, I'd better stick to that. Considering I'm writing it, that won't take long.

I'm Frankie. I like to rant about things that no-one cares about, unless you're one of my friends or have no life (aka, you're one of the elderly insane). I only talk politics in Biology lessons, which is exactly why I no longer study Biology. I love Physics, it cannot be avoided - thought the only thing electricity is good for is charging my technology...which I am quite scared of breaking.
I'm a lowly college student, but, at least I don't eat baked beans every night.

I study Physics, Chemistry, Maths (which includes Decision Maths, which is, quite honestly, the most pointless thing I've ever encountered) and Photography. I love Shakespeare, writing fanfictions and gay men. It has to be said.
I know a lot about Greek Mythology and music, which means this is beginning to sounds like a UCAS personal statement. At least, I like to think that this sounds fairly interesting...meaning my Personal Statement would be, too. If you're getting my drift...I may have drifted too far.

I love Spock (from Star Trek)...and I'm not lying, I'd tap that. I mean, I'd go for Zachary Quinto more, but Leonard Nimoy wasn't bad looking, either. Maybe I just find Zachary Quinto sexy because he was Sylar...and Sylar's evil and sexy. Anyway, he's cool. So is Tron - if you haven't seen Legacy, or the original, I suggest that you do. NOW!
Run.
It is genius.
And pretty to look at.

I like Korean and Japanese music...I can sing in both. And, German. I love Rammstein. Don't get me wrong, English music's good, too, I just seem to like other languages.

Moving on, I plan to use my blog to ramble away about my life, my woes (pft), my friends, the things I like and various other 'issues' you all need to be made aware of. I.e. My favourite books and films.

It is currently Sunday the 6th of Feb 2011. It feels quite odd it being 2011, really. I don't like the number eleven. Silly, but true. I also don't like how everyone calls it 'twenty-eleven'...why?!
It has been 'two-thousand-and-<insert number>' since The year Two-thousand. Why, I ask, must I change how I say it because of a few people on the Olympic bid team?
I refuse. I like me 'ands', and it's almost as annoying as when people say 'I'm going <insert place>' and leave out the 'to'. It is not acceptable unless you are a Yorkshire man...or where-ever it is they don't ever say their 't's because farmers don't need to understand anyone else.
I wonder why everyone in Emmerdale speaks properly if they're supposed to be in Yorkshire. The Yorkshirites must find this very factually inaccurate.
Then again, if they phoned in to ITV, would the people at ITV actually be able to understand them? They might just thing they were saying 'this is awesome'.
Not that Farmers would say 'awesome'. I don't know any farmers...not proper farmers.

Back on the note of 2011, before I interrupted myself. I really enjoyed New Year's Eve, actually. It was the first New Year I stayed up for, because I've never cared before. My Guild, Vanguard, met up at our Guild-Master's new apartment in London to celebrate.
So, essentially, Harry brought a tonne of alcohol back from Barbados and they all got very drunk and hugged me a lot. I have to say, it deeply amused me. Though, when I saw myself in the mirror the next morning, I looked like a Panda...>.>
Then they all decided to watch Step Up 2: The Streets the next morning. They really are, very cool.
If you don't know what I mean by a Guild...1) what kind of Nerds are you? 2) It's a WoW (World Of Warcraft) Guild. I'm a level 72 Death Knight. This is how cool I am.

*cough*

Moving on, in a swift manner, I'm listening to the Bugsy Malone soundtrack and some French songs. Does anyone know who sang the song 'Who I Am, Hates Who I've Been'? I found a really good Fanvideo to that, for the television show 'Bones'. That's a great show, about Forensic Anthropology. It stars Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz. Speaking of Fanvideos, I found one for Twilight (ick) the other day. It was to 'Once' by Diana Vickers. I don't know who she is, but it's not a bad song, and the video actually made me think 'maybe Twilight isn't so bad'. So, it was basically an amazing video hahaha.

I need to get back to finishing my Photography Mood Board for my upcoming exam (oh joy unbounded). It's actually quite a fun theme, actually: 'Mystery and Imagination.' So, naturally, I only have a few (thousand) ideas.
I shall leave you with just this departing line(or three)

'When our actions do not, our fears do make us traitors'.
Live Long, and Prosper, - Frankie, Nerd Extraordinaire.

  1. People say it twenty-eleven because it makes sense! No one went around saying "one thousand, nine hundred and ninety three was the best year ever!". Twothousandandeleven is such a mouthful.

People said "two thousand and seven" because other it would otherwise be "twenty seven", which would confuse people!
